Since 2008, I have been a direct observer of how Western academia, media, certain NGOs and politics have attempted to rewrite human rights. The horrendous consequences could be seen when the COVID-19 pandemic struck. This virus could have been contained by decisive action early on, as several countries have shown. As soon as the danger emanating from this virus was known in the second half of January, the WHO immediately and repeatedly called on all countries to take the necessary measures for efficient containment. …

On October 29, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) released a summary of the first draft of the 14th 5-year plan, followed on Nov. 3 by the draft itself and an explanation by President Xi Jinping. It is now time to look back at the media coverage these documents got in a selection of major US, German, Swiss and Austrian newspapers. The result of this analysis is alarming. Most of what commentators call “new” is actually not new. What is new and important in the 5-year-plan was missed by all journalists. No effort was made to…

Fact-checking The Times’ “Seven Years Coronavirus Trail from mine deaths…”: An article entirely based on incorrect and missing information; this is how conspiracy theories emerge.

Introduction

A series of articles in British media starting with a piece in The Times from July 4 (1) accuse Ms. Shi Zhengli and her team from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) of having failed to inform the world about a new deadly virus. The virus in question is now called RaTG13 and was discovered in an abandoned mine shaft in southwestern China in 2013. The team from the WIV had been alerted about this…

Last summer, a person I know took a walk on a footpath through wine yards bordered by trees at nightfall in Switzerland, close to the village of Eclépens, roughly at coordinates 46.656791, 6.522571. At a place where the tree branches are quite low, he had three head-on collision with bats. In the third such event, the bat had to crawl up his face to take flight again from the top of his head. …

There are major differences in both fatality rate and the distribution of probability of death over time between South Korea and Switzerland. This clearly shows that either the virus strains in these two countries do not have the same impact on human bodies, or that Swiss bodies are less vulnerable to the virus, or (probably) both. This might be related to the reported higher mortality found in indigenous people in the Americas (who share the same origin with some Asian ethnic groups), and maybe also of African Americans. All these results are still preliminary, but the belief that people of…
